The Knight's Chamber

Once the Great Hall of the castle, the huge and magnificent Knight's Chamber with its bare stone walls, timbered ceiling, monumental fireplace and period tiled floor, is situated on the first floor of the XIV Century keep.

Decorated in true medieval style with oak tables, chest benches, curtained queen sized bed, painted period wall hangings and real torches, this room portrays the castles colouful and festive past.

The window looks directly down onto the castles inner courtyard with its working drawbridge mechanism.
